Gordon Marino is a Professor of Philosophy at St. Olaf College in Minnesota. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, M.A. University of Pennsylvania, and B.A. Columbia University.

Marino's areas of specialization include the history of philosophy, the philosophy of religion, and Kierkegaard. He is the author of "Kierkegaard in the Present Age" and co-author of "The Cambridge Companion to Kierkegaard." His articles have appeared in the "Atlantic Monthly," "New York Times Magazine," "Wall Street Journal," and other periodicals.

Marino is also the curator of the Hong/Kierkegaard Library at St. Olaf College.

A professor of philosophy at St. Olaf College, Gordon Marino gives a Clinton School lecture titled, "Self Deception in Ethics and Politics: A Kierkegaardian Perspective," expanding on the ideas of the 19th-century Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard. Marino is also the Curator of the Hong/Kierkegaard Library at St. Olaf, a collection of Kierkegaard’s writings and ideas, including roughly 11,000 book volumes. The author of "Kierkegaard in the Present Age," Marino has also written articles for the "Atlantic Monthly," "The New York Times Magazine" and the "Wall Street Journal," among others.
