A former Australian Senator and past president of the Australian Labor Party, Stephen Loosley addresses the growing need for a U.S./Australian-led security forum in Asia and the Pacific, bringing together major players in the region including China, Japan, Korea and other nations. Loosley discusses the historical alliance between the United States and Australia dating back to World War I when the two countries fought side-by-side against Germany. Loosley says the common values between the two countries carries on today on the battlefields of the War in Afghanistan. Using this historical context, Loosley calls for the relationship between the countries to strengthen and continue to foster liberty throughout the world.
